Gaming laptops from Asus: the G50 and G71

Asus has unveiled two new gaming notebooks in the G Series as part of the Asus Republic of Gamers product (ROG) line-up.
The new Asus G71 (17 inch) and G50 (15 inch) are the new gaming laptops released by Asus. Both new Asus G series gaming notebooks have almost the same specifications. The only difference lies in the screen size and resulting form factor, HDD options. Additionally, there are more CPU options for G71 including Intel Quad Core QX9300 and QX9100.

Features of the G71V and G50V include Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT with 512MB GDDR3 VRAM, Intel Turbo Memory Technology with 2GB (optional), up to 4GB RAM, up to 640GB storage (G50, 2x HDD), up to 1TB storage (G71, 2x HDD), DVD Super Multi Double Layer, Light Scribe, DVD combo, Blu-ray DVD writer, Wifi and Bluetooth.

As you dig deep into the game, the G Series even comes alive with fancy LED lighting effects along the notebook's side while the back changes colour according to the fan speed!

In addition to the laptop, you get the must-have Republic of Gamers backpack. The package also includes a professional-grade 1600dpi gaming mouse that offers real-time sensitivity adjustment and a Siberia Steel Gaming Headset that accommodates extended sessions of gameplay in cool comfort.

There is no pricing information available as of now for the G71 and G50.
